Kentucky Bourbon Trail
In 1999, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association formed the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® tour to give visitors a firsthand look at the art and science of crafting Bourbon, and to educate them about the rich history and proud tradition of our signature spirit.
Angel’s Envy

Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience Stitzel-Weller Distillery
Originally opened on Derby Day in 1935 and reopened to the public in 2014, the Stitzel-Weller Distillery is one of the true cathedrals of the American whiskey industry. Located only five miles from downtown Louisville, the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience is one of the most convenient and impressive along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
Copper & Kings
Copper & Kings is an American brandy company based in Butchertown, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.We make a dynamic American style brandy. We do not make derivative brandy. We make a differentiated, uncommon, unadulterated pure pot-distilled natural American brandy. Distilled in American copper potstills, matured in Bourbon barrels. Our signature house style is a little feisty, rambunctious with a long smooth finish.
Evan Williams Experience
The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience is a multi-million dollar artisanal distillery, immersive tourism experience and retail location that celebrates the legacy of Kentucky’s first distiller and namesake of Heaven Hill’s flagship Bourbon brand. Heaven Hill Distilleries has renovated their historic building at 528 West Main Street, in the heart of what was once called “Whiskey Row” in Louisville.
Brough Brothers Distillery
Headquartered in Louisville, this is officially the first African American-owned distillery in the state of Kentucky.
Spirits of the Bluegrass at the Frazier Museum
Prohibition and Kentucky traces the rise of the temperance movement from 1920 through the repeal of the 18th Amendment in 1933, taking an in-depth look at America’s “Noble Experiment.” By examining the Volstead Act and its effect on crime, politics, and culture, Spirits of the Bluegrass brings prohibition to life.

Buzzard’s Roost
Buzzard’s Roost Sipping Whiskey started in 2019, after Judy Hollis Jones and Jason Brauner met while doing a barrel pick. As the two got to know each other, an idea started to form. “Let’s start our own bourbon brand!” they said. They knew they wanted Buzzard’s Roost to be not just exceptional but unique.
Urban Bourbon Trail (Louisville)

Kentucky Artisan Distillery & Jefferson’s Bourbon
Guests truly get the “Bourbon Country” experience without the drive. Only 20 minutes from downtown Louisville! Every tour offers a behind-the-scenes feel, as you talk to the KAD’s master distiller, climb up next to the fermenters to view the mash and see where the experiments of “bourbon’s mad scientist”, Trey Zoeller, come to life.

Our family’s very first bourbon went into barrel in 1889. We revived the craft in our own state-of-the-art distillery, where we use the finest ingredients. We believe that patience builds character & fine bourbon can never be rushed. All under one roof, the select Kentucky Peerless grains are milled, cooked, fermented, double-distilled, and barreled as bourbon & rye.

Charr’d Bourbon Kitchen
From the food to the décor, Charr’d is truly bourbon inspired. The restaurant features local and regional ingredients harvested in Bourbon Country and serves it in a classy dining room inspired by bourbon barrels and limestone.
Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse & Raw Bar
Doc Crow’s name is a nod to the Scottish-born physician responsible during the mid-19th century for scientific advances that gave greater spirit consistency in the American whiskey industry. Most notable was his refinement of the “sour mash” process.
Down One Bourbon Bar
With a selection of more than 120 bourbons, including a proprietary barrel program, Down One Bourbon Bar & Restaurant has some of the rarest bourbons. The bar/restaurant was featured in National Geographic magazine’s “Best in the World: Must-See Places for 2014.”

Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar
Featuring the country’s largest selection of Kentucky Bourbons with more than 150 to choose from, Jockey Silks is one of Louisville’s oldest bourbon bars. The selection includes those rare bourbons you’ll have a hard time finding elsewhere – all served with a generous pour.
Located in downtown’s 21c Museum Hotel, Proof on Main features a diverse selection of Kentucky’s finest bourbons. Named one of three American “New Whiskey Temples” byGQ, Proof offers a library of small batch and single barrel bourbon as well as proprietary bourbon selections.
Sidebar at Whiskey Row, home of bourbon, burgers and beer, is located inside the beautiful Whiskey Row Lofts. This historic limestone structure was originally built in 1877 by the L&N Railroad to serve as their headquarters.
Opened in 1905, the Seelbach Hotel has hosted gangsters, politicians, and celebrities for generations. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Seelbach’s gilded-era luxury served as F. Scott Fitzgerald’s inspiration for The Great Gatsby, and the hotel’s Oakroom restaurant was a favorite hangout of Al Capone.

We have stayed at B&Bs from coast to coast and Chateau Bourbon is our favorite! Missy & John will make you feel right at home, like visiting old friends! Missy serves a fabulous three course breakfast every morning and a scrumptious dessert and bourbon cocktail every evening. The house is beautiful and was built to be a B&B. The neighborhood is stunning and there are very nice restaurants, tap rooms, and shops within a few blocks. We love to sit out on the front porch with our evening cocktail and chat with the people passing by. Missy & John have a lot of connections in the bourbon industry and are incredibly knowledgeable. A very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay! We love it! We have stayed there on three occasions and can hardly wait to go back again!
